After the Audi series was transferred to FAW-Volkswagen as a contract product, the company developed the Audi 200
1.8T premium sedan. On September 6, 1999, Audi A6 Chinese sedan rolled off the production line smoothly. By 2022, FAW-Volkswagen has more than 50 varieties of Jetta and Audi. It is a domestic car company capable of producing both affordable mid-range cars and luxury high-end cars. The practice in the past few years has proved that FAW-Volkswagen has walked out of a successful road of "quality first, technology leading, management innovation and market orientation".

In September 2022, according to the statistical analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the total sales volume of FAW-Volkswagen cars decreased slightly from January to August 2022.
