GoPro is currently the number one brand of extreme sports cameras. In mid-December 2012, Foxconn decided to pay $200 million for 8.8 percent of Gopro, a startup. The deal made the company's CEO and founder, Nicolas Woodman, a billionaire.
GoPro makes a wearable camera through its Woodman Labs unit. The camera allows extreme sports enthusiasts to record themselves in high speed. The 36-year-old is worth at least $1.15 billion. But interestingly, his inspiration for success was "playing" in the sport of surfing. Woodman himself is an extreme sports enthusiast and a failed entrepreneur, but he finally succeeded.
